Nina Bhattacharya (“Radio Rani”, she/her) is an artist, educator, and cultural organizer from Michigan, now based in Cambridge, MA. In her current work at the Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University, she works with educators and learners to develop multidisciplinary tools and resources that bring messy global challenges to life in the classroom.
Nina received her M.S. in Global Health & Population from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and was also a 2012-13 Fulbright fellow in Indonesia. Her writing has been published in The Toast, The Hairpin, Kajal Magazine, and The Aerogram. Her artwork has been featured in publications like The Juggernaut and in spaces like the Institute for Contemporary Arts / Boston.
She co-hosts and produces the politics and culture podcast, Almirah Radio Hour. She also edits and produces Live Vedanta, a podcast on high thinking and happy living. As a hype woman and enthusiastic emcee, Nina builds community as a part of Subcontinental Drift Boston, the first and longest-running South Asian open mic in the city.
