Rigorous Hope
$40.00
Hope is “the daily practice of constantly reminding yourself that we have a possibility of another world every single day,” said prison abolitionist and educator, Mariame Kaba, speaking to Call Your Girlfriend on hope as a discipline. Today was one of those days where I didn’t feel especially resilient or strong, getting out bed was hard, and reading this nearly made me weep. Practicing rigorous hope, personal and collective, is an unchanging responsibility. It is work. It is a slog. How do we nurture this constant remembrance, day after day?
